These terms are a contract between you and Psycodex LLP ("Psycodex", "we"), a limited liability partnership registered in India at Floor 7, Tower 42, 702, Gold Tower, Amnora Park Town, Hadapsar, Pune 411028. They cover the Kshan desktop application, the kshan.io website, the Kshan account and cloud services, and any paid plan (together, "Kshan"). By creating an account or installing the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Kshan.
1. Who can use Kshan
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age at which you can enter a contract where you live if that is higher. If you use Kshan on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that company.
2. Your account
You need an account for cloud features, integrations and paid plans. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and tell us promptly at abhishek@psycodex.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Kshan app on devices you own or control, for your own time tracking and planning. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or redistribute the app, remove notices from it, or use it to build a competing service. Kshan, its code, design, and trademarks remain the property of Psycodex and its licensors. Open-source components are licensed under their own terms.
4. Plans, trials and billing
- Free plan: tracking, reports for the day, the calendar and calendar integrations are free.
- Trial: new accounts receive a 14-day Pro trial. No payment method is needed and the account moves to the Free plan when the trial ends.
- Paid plans: Basic and Pro are sold as monthly or annual subscriptions at the prices shown on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars unless shown otherwise and exclude taxes that our merchant of record must add for your location.
- Merchant of record: purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which sells you the subscription on our behalf, collects applicable taxes, and handles refunds under our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Dodo's buyer terms apply to the payment itself.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. We email you before an annual renewal. You can cancel at any time; paid features continue until the end of the paid period.
- Price changes: we may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app. The new price applies from your next renewal.

5. Your data and content
Your tracking data, tasks, rules and anything you add to Kshan remain yours. You grant us only the rights needed to run Kshan for you: to store, back up, sync and process your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or use it to train AI models.
Kshan reads the name and title of your active window and, for browsers, the current URL. You are responsible for making sure that your use of Kshan on a device, including a work device, complies with laws and policies that apply to you.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Kshan to monitor another person without their knowledge and consent, to break the law, to attack or overload our services, to probe them for vulnerabilities without permission, or to share your account with others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms.
7. Third-party services
Kshan can connect to services such as Google Calendar, Gmail, Outlook, Apple Calendar, Trello, GitHub, Asana, monday.com, Jira, Linear, Todoist, Notion, Slack and Microsoft Teams. Those connections are optional, governed by each provider's own terms, and can be disconnected in Settings. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Kshan available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or retire features, and may discontinue Kshan with at least 60 days' notice, during which you can export your data. Local tracking in the app keeps working without our servers.
9. Disclaimer
Kshan is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Focus scores, categorisations and AI-generated summaries are estimates to help you reflect on your day; do not rely on them for payroll, billing clients, legal, employment or medical decisions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Psycodex is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of data, profits or business, arising from Kshan. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Termination
You can stop using Kshan and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms, after giving notice where practical. Sections 3, 5, 9, 10, 12 and 13 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EU, UK or elsewhere keep the protection of the mandatory laws and courts of their country of residence.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date is acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using Kshan and cancel any paid plan before the change takes effect.
